London.  January 1.  Last week a young lady in Golden Square
was found hanging in her garters at the foot of her bed:  It
is conjectured, from the word lovers which was wrote in
capitals, in the lines following that she held in her hand,
that she was a prey to that powerful passion; tho' perhaps
the first that ever was so.
To die is landing on a friendly shore,
Where billows never shake, nor tempests roar; 
E'er well we fel the friendly stroke, 'tis o'er:
'Tis what the guilty fear, the pious crave,
